The Center for Computational and Data Science is excited to announce that we will be hosting an SU Research Un-Conference in September of 2018! CCDS was motivated to organize this event having seen efforts by the university to stimulate grants, and the clear shared interest across campus on a variety of issues. It is our hope that this Un-Conference will be an opportunity to network, learn about other's work, and foster fruitful cross-campus collaboration.

This Un-Conference will focus on four key themes: Democracy, Digital Media, Decision Making, and Data Analytics. The purpose of this event is to bring together academics from the SU community in a space which allows for peer-to-peer learning, collaboration, and creativity. The primary goal of the Un-Conference is for individuals to make connections and formulate plans for collaborations around research and teaching.

We will be sending out invitations to this event beginning in April. If you are interested in participating, please contact Prof. Jenny Stromer-Galley ( or Alex Sargent (

When: September 14th-15th

Where: Syracuse University's School of Information (Hinds Hall)
